Tomo Uyesugi who is the member of our shop is participating in the group exhibition for the Tohoku.

Group exhibition for the benefit of the Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami victims.

 

24 artists from all over Japan come together to raise funds to help children 

in the affected areas of the Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami.

 

Proceeds from the exhibition will fund art therapy workshops for children traumatized by the aftermath of The Great Tohoku Disaster.

HARPY (In Greek mythology, snatcher)

We eat meat 'cause it's delicious.
we have pets 'cause they're cute.
we kill animals 'cause they exist in large quantity.
we work for the preservation of endangered species 'cause we killed too many animals.

we have animals fate in our hands.

Human dominate the world.
for this reason we should give a helping hand to animals.

we eat meat sometimes to live.
However, I want to coexist with all things.

Part of sales is contributed to animals.
It's my first step that I can do.

they went on the UK tour in the summer of 2006 and competed with many artists.
they gather scrappy daily records and feelings, and make art works.

Kasumi Inoue × Reiko Imanishi/koto player

we took a picture of new item "sokono-sonoko" .
The model is Reiko Imanishi who is a koto player.
She put on koto's nails and a japanese hairpin in the photograph.

She combines the koto and electronics.That are cool performances.
She has competed with artists all over the world.
TOMATO in UK is a case in point.

I'm drawing for everyone will be happy.

4 yo;started learning an accordion.
17 yo;won accordion contest.
during my stay in France as a student;won "The French contest" .
released 6 solo albums.
My music have been used by a lot of TV programs.

Concept:
The process itself is concept.
1.photographed book spines on a bookshelf and synthesized it.
2.made book jackets from printed them.
3.arranged these books on a bookshelf and photographed them again.
4.named it "ces bureau ci" .This is same pronunciation of "Sebyo-shi",Japanese "book spines".
The true nature is the process itself is concept.

My art works are based on individualized experiences and motives.
I experiment on techniques and idea out of curiosity.
So the process itself is concept.
My child have always show me innovative ideas and plans.

We are two girls playing a laptop and a sampler,
have been making sounds coolly but lightly softly over the PA,
